The Sweet - Love is Like Oxygen

The Chorus immediately sprung to mind

'Love is like oxygen

You get too much, you get too high

Not enough and you're gonna die

Love gets you high'

LOL!! I almost included that song. Love the description of them on Spotify: "The Sweet epitomize all the tacky hubris and garish silliness of the early 70's."

Spinal Tap had to pull from them!!!

I saw them once.... at a Butlins caravan holiday park no less.... so I can't deny that description has some truth to it. Great show though!

used to be a regular on the playlist at WNEW FM in New York back in the early 80s, when FM was still great and programmed by humans.

Fuel by Metallica. Although that's more like gaining steam rather than losing it. Still, first thing that I thought of. Maybe you can use it for the next rally. Besides, you need more metal references!

This mkt reminds me of the classic Sweet emotion, specially when Steven Tyler sings ; “Ive pulled into town in a police car, your dad said I took just a little too far “

Nice. I used the Byrds just a few weeks ago.

So far the rally brings to mind Bob Seger's Like a Rock, but of course he is reflecting back 20 years later and I doubt we'll have to wait that long for some weakness!
